Q: "Is this just for couples or can I attend without a dance partner?"
A: This is for anyone to attend with or without a dance partner! Rotating partners during workshops is optional but most choose to rotate so you'll meet a lot of new friends. People dance with everyone at night so you'll meet people there as well.
Q: "Do I need to book a room to attend?"
A: No you do not need to book a room but if you plan on maximizing the experience you'll want to have a room so you can dance late and then go right to sleep and not have to drive, take breaks and freshen up, and enjoy the weekend as a vacation. You can post in our
Facebook group if you need help finding a roommate to split the cost.
Q: "I'm brand new, can I still come?"
A: Absolutely! A few of the workshops will cater specifically to beginners to make sure you'll be ready to hit the dance floor and have a great time. The other workshops will be more challenging but you're welcome to try them out as well and of course they'll be plenty of social dancing throughout the weekend.
Q: "What are the details on the free happy hour drinks?"
A: Happy Hour with complimentary drinks run every day from 5-7pm. You have to be listed on a room reservation to receive your free drinks (and free hot breakfast). You can select beer, wine or house cocktails. 2 free drinks max per person per day.
Q: "What kind of music will be played?"
A: The focus of the event is Bachata and Zouk however we will play some Salsa at night as well. The pool parties will be a mix of Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Zouk, Kizomba and Reggaeton.
Q: "I'm coming from out of state. Is there dancing Sunday night? Should I stay until Monday morning?"
A: The biggest nights will be Friday and Saturday. We will probably have an afterparty Sunday night but we haven't determined the details of it yet. If you decide to stay until Monday we'll make sure it's worth your while though.
